Supporting the community: Our charity partners
The Halloran Trust has provided funds to various community organisations, charitable causes and environmental protection initiatives, however there are four main beneficiaries.
These include the broader community of Culburra Beach; the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum; the Henry Halloran Urban and Regional Research Initiative, which fosters academia in town planning, urban development and land management at Sydney University; and The Scots College.
There are others. It is a discretionary Trust, meaning we have the flexibility to contribute to causes and organisations that we, and the Shoalhaven community, believe warrant our support.
For example, in 2023 and 2024, The Halloran Trust provided the following grants to local organisations:
- Culburra Public School - $50,000
- Shoalhaven Marine Rescue - $100,000
- Nowra-Culburra Surf Lifesaving Club - $50,000
- Jervis Bay Maritime Museum - $100,000
- The Scots College - Bannockburn Rewilding Program - $100,000
Sealark directly supports local organisations too, including donations of $7,500 to the Culburra Beach Rural Fire Brigade, $12,000 to Jervis Bay Sailing Club and $5,000 to the Culburra Beach and Districts Men’s Shed in 2023. In 2024, Sealark was a proud sponsor of two local soccer clubs: the Culburra Cougars FC and Callala Brumbies FC.
As community consultation and engagement progresses for Sealark’s sustainable property developments, we’re eager to hear from the local community about the causes and initiatives they believe warrant support.
